Nike, Inc

I’ve spent my career delivering content. From an ISP in 1999 to nike.com, to contact data to intranets and portals. My passions are enterprise relationships and information.

I’ve advocated for open source in the enterprise: Linux, apache, tomcat, and much more. More importantly, I fight for open standards in the enterprise.

I am an Engineer at Nike, Inc., where I’ve been for four years, connecting employees to the business via internal websites, and factories to the business using an external portal. Projects range from innovative application of modern technologies such as search and social bookmarking, to heavily entrenched enterprise applications such as SAP.

I fell in love with open source in 1997 when I wrote my thesis in LaTeX on Red Hat after being utterly failed by the equation editor in Word. I believe that there is a place in the world for both emacs and vi. One of them just happens to be at my command prompt.
